Ezy2c Acquires Trakka GPS Pty Ltd

GPS Tracking specialist Ezy2c (a division of Fleet Logistics Pty Ltd) today announced the purchase of the business and assets of Trakka GPS Pty Ltd for an undisclosed sum. Managing Director of Trakka GPS Pty Ltd, Paul Marsden says, “The decision to sell our business was not taken lightly, however with Ezy2c we can offer a more comprehensive suite of products and services to better suit our customers tracking and data needs.”

“For our valued clients the transition phase will be simple and smooth. Our clients will still be able to keep and use their current tracking units.”

“I have personally known Ezy2C’s Managing Director, Rick Firth for over 20 years”, adds Marsden. “Ezy2c offer an extensive range of GPS tracking hardware including GSM, NextG and hybrid devices that utilise a combination of the Iridium satellite network and GSM or NextG land based communications which are ideal for remote area tracking.

“Our clients can choose to upgrade to Ezy2c hardware and thereby have access to an onboard touch screen Driver Console Unit (DCU) which will allow for messaging to and from vehicles plus navigation maps and driver fatigue management. The user friendly Ezy2C online interface is very powerful and comes with a comprehensive suite of reports available.”

Ezy2c CEO, Evan Penn is excited by the acquisition of the Trakka business, as it adds a sizeable number of transport operators to its client base.

“The addition of a number of regional transport companies as clients is good for our overall business. We look forward to servicing them with the world class service our current clients experience”, adds Penn.

Ezy2c has grown dramatically over the past few years, both through acquisition including the purchase of the OmniTrack business in WA, and through organic growth to new clients as well as sales to existing clients.

As Ezy2c’s client base has grown, there is also a significant increase in the new product development and customer service teams offering regular new hardware and reporting features. Transport businesses in particular have embraced the Ezy2c Driver Fatigue Solution and the specialised Lone Worker safety features of the system.
